Client Background


The client is a leading packaging solutions manufacturer in Pakistan, specializing in producing textile products used for sewing machines and other equipment. They planned to install a PP multifilament yarn manufacturing machine and required a twister to process the yarn to meet different specifications. The client’s yarn production line involves several specifications of PP yarn, with the following requirements:

  • Yarn Specifications: 1200D, 3000D, and 4500D;

  • Raw Material: Polypropylene;

  • Final Package Weight: 5 kg per cone (variable);

  • TPM Requirement: 60 to 100 TPM;

  • Daily Output Requirement: Approximately 5 tons;

  • Equipment Requirement: Seeking a doubling machine and a TFO machine combination.

Client Needs


The client aimed to produce PP multifilament yarn suitable for sewing machines, ensuring that the yarn met market requirements for various specifications. They sought to achieve production through the following:

  1. Use an extrusion line to produce 600D yarn;

  2. Use the doubling machine to convert 600D yarn into 1200D and higher specifications, such as 3000D and 4200D.

Additionally, the client inquired whether the doubling machine could support a 7:1 twist ratio to convert 7 strands of 600D yarn into 4200D.

Solution

Doubling Machine: Sutex’s DX231K doubling machine supports twist ratios of 1:2, 1:3, 1:5, and 1:7, which fully meets the client’s need to convert 600D yarn into 1200D, 1800D, 3000D, and 4200D yarns. This machine offers high efficiency and flexibility, making it an ideal choice for the client’s production needs.

  2. TFO Machine: To ensure the yarn’s twist strength and consistency, Sutex recommended its two-for-one twister (TFO machine). This machine complements the doubling machine, allowing the client to efficiently twist yarns of various specifications, improving production efficiency and ensuring high-quality final products.
